This documentation is built with atomik-ssg, a static site generator written in C. The pages are markdown files in a content/ directory; the sidebar, the reading order and the previous/next links at the foot of each page are all derived from how those files are arranged on disk.

The platform picker on Installation is worth pointing at: it is plain HTML, CSS and a few lines of JavaScript written directly in the markdown file. The generator has no idea operating systems exist. A static site cannot know who is visiting, so the page ships every option and the browser highlights one — and with JavaScript switched off the reader still sees the full list, which is the right thing to fall back to.
